Register for Opportunity Conference 2016 - Chennai

Dear Social Innovator

Greetings from PayPal ! This post is about Opportunity Conference 2016, hosted by PayPal in Chennai on November 7th 2016.

PayPal is a world leader in payments and our Chennai engineering center hosts about 1200 employees. We believe in fostering an inclusive economy that empowers communities in which we live and work. As an organization, it is our consistent endeavor to facilitate global growth opportunities, in order to build a better future. Towards that, we host an event called “Opportunity Hackathon” where NGOs propose problems that technology can solve. We connected these NGOs with software developers in Chennai, over a period of 36 hours to build out a proof of concept of the technology solutions.

As a precursor to this hackathon, we are also conducting the Opportunity Conference, where we will be inviting key decision makers from over 40 non-profits from Chennai and other parts of India to facilitate better networking opportunities and also a chance to hear subject matter experts share their experiences! This is our second edition, and last year over 70 NGO representatives attended this conference which also figured experts from marketing, technology and HR fields speaking at the event.

THEME : The theme of this year's conference is on "Donor Relationships and Donor Lifecycle Management".

We have invited some established speakers in their respective fields to deliver talks during the conference on donor relationship management for both individual and institutional donors. We are also planning to organize a workshop during the afternoon session, so that the NGOs obtain hands-on exposure to implement the learnings. During the hands-on session, the NGOs can also form problem statements that can be solved during this year's Opportunity Hackathon scheduled for November 12 & 13, 2016. This will also serve as a great opportunity for non-profits to network with each other and learn from experiences. We are also inviting an inspiring speaker to deliver a keynote address during the conference.

Please feel free circulate this within your network of social innovators who may benefit from the event.
